Vibes & Styles

Vibes & Styles is the widest-ranging book we carry, and it is deliberately built that way. Fourteen design families sit side by side with no house style imposed on them: Japanese pines drawn as fine engravings, a painted herbarium of sage and lavender, banana leaves cut flat and layered six deep, baroque medallions with the gilt rubbed back to the ground, folded three-dimensional facets, stacked stone courses, and a coarse open tweed. The premise is in the name — you choose the vibe, and the book has the rest of the room waiting for it.

That second half is what makes it usable rather than merely varied. Forty-seven of the 85 papers are plains, in five different characters: a flat matte canvas, a softer linen, a fine vertical strié, a raffia-slubbed tweed and a rough stone quarry. They are coloured to the prints, so the wall behind the sofa and the three walls around it can come from the same book without any matching by eye.

Thirteen designs come instead as 1.59 by 2.80 metre design panels — a single full-height wall treated as one image rather than a repeat. They range from a chinoiserie aviary on deep teal and a sepia jungle engraving to a painted dusk horizon, an art-deco arcade in black and copper, and a photographic old brick wall. These are the pieces that change a room in one decision.

AS Création print in Germany to European standards. Every design here is non-woven, scrubbable or extra-washable, and strippable dry in whole lengths — it holds its dimensions through a Bangkok wet season and comes off without steam or soaking, which matters as much in a rented condo as in an owned house. Papers are 10.05 metres by 53 centimetres.

Every design below opens with the flat artwork alongside photographs of it hung in real rooms, so you can judge scale before you commit — several of these are large repeats that change completely at full size. We handle measurement and installation, in English and Thai.
