The number that matters
A curtain fabric and an upholstery fabric are not the same cloth
Both hang beautifully. Only one survives being sat on. The difference is measured on a Martindale machine, which rubs the cloth in a figure-of-eight until it shows wear — the score is the number of rubs it survived.

Pattern repeat, cloth width and the way the piece is cut all change the metreage. We work it through with you — or with your upholsterer — before anything is ordered.
