Grigory Gladarev
A collaboration between the Sir Edward studio and Grigory Gladarev, a furniture designer and surface artist. It is the house's one grown-up abstract range: geometric planes and arches, wood grain and veined stone, blurred colour fields and figures among foliage, mostly in muted, low-contrast palettes.
Grigory Gladarev has spent more than a decade making collections for contemporary interior brands, working across both furniture and surface design. His prints run in serial furniture production at THE IDEA and have been released as wallpaper with interior brands; this range is his collaboration with Sir Edward. The approach differs from the rest of the house. Where the children's ranges are hand-painted illustration, this work combines product-design thinking and artistic composition with modern digital technique, built at a scale meant to be read across a whole wall rather than examined up close.
